Event Details

Do you have a disability or have a family member that was disabled before age 26? If so you may be eligible to take advantage of a government - approved, tax free investment account. ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) Accounts are a great way for individuals with disabilities to save for their future without jeopardizing their benefits.

This presentation is appropriate for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Sandy Weitkamp, Benefits Case Manager for Boone Center, Inc, a Vocational Training company for people with disabilities. This is an excellent resource for caregivers for those with disabilities. Her knowledge of Social Security and Medicaid programs are instrumental in helping people with disabilities join the workforce without fear of losing needed supports. She is a community resource for anyone who has questions. Sandy has bachelor's degrees in Educational Studies and Special Education as well as a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
