Program Description

Event Details

We all have mental health and anyone at any time can be affected by mental health illness. Our goal in our live learning experience is to end the stigma surrounding mental health. We teach young lives to become advocates not only for their own mental health, but also for the mental health of others. Through our program young lives will learn the warning signs of suicide, ways to support someone in crisis, healthy coping skills, and what resources are available, along with other life-saving skills. Our live learning experience also provides an opportunity for peer-to-peer discussion regarding topics and situations that are affecting young people’s mental health. Young lives are able to leave our program with the normalization that it’s ok to not be ok and that they are not alone.

At the end of each program, an A.R.C. Angels t-shirt and information about free mental health and suicide resources are provided.

Recommended grades 6 - 12.
