When World War II ended, the Cold War began heating up. Desperate to maintain its technological edge over the Soviet Union, the U.S.A. recruited more than 1,600 ex-Nazi German scientists to aid in its weapons programs, in what came to be known as Operation Paperclip. Many would go on to become household names during the Space Race of the 1960s. Many were also suspected war criminals.

Join us as we will trace the origins of this controversial Cold War program, the accusations leveled against its participants, and finally, the quest to bring them to justice after many decades. We will also explore Operation Paperclip's enduring impact on popular culture, including one of this summer's most anticipated movie releases: "Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny."
