Mark H.X. Glenshaw is an award-winning naturalist who has closely observed and documented the lives of Great Horned Owls in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri, since December 2005.  

“Forest Park Owls: Hiding In Plain Sight”, covers how he found these owls and basic facts about the species. This presentation will include many of his photos and videos to illustrate the amazing behaviors of these beautiful birds.

About the presenter:

Mark Glenshaw in Forest Park

Mark Glenshaw is an award-winning naturalist who specializes in urban wildlife with a focus on Great Horned Owls in the Midwest. Mark has been a Missouri Master Naturalist since 2013 and Certified Interpretive Guide since 2020. He leads an average of 70 owl prowls per year and average 50 presentations per year throughout Illinois, Missouri, and beyond for a wide range of organizations and institutions. In addition, Mark has presented for over 20 Audubon chapters in 4 states, over 20 garden clubs in 2 states, dozens of libraries in 2 states, the Smithsonian Institutions and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
