With the New Year upon us, let’s get involved with recycling!
This program is designed to enhance your knowledge of recycling. Learn what items can and cannot be recycled, how to recycle properly, why it is important to have items correctly prepared for when they get to a recycling facility, and dispel myths that people might have about recycling.
Bring your questions to this interactive class, learn how easy it is, why it is important, and how to start the New Year by getting more involved with recycling!
About the presenter Stephen Wortmann:
Stephen is the current Recycling Coordinator with Republic Services and works with single stream recycling at both St. Louis locations. In addition, he works with commercial business accounts that produce high volume recyclables. Being in the waste/recycling industry for almost 3 years and working daily with on site training, he understands the recycling of materials, and it has allowed him to answer those questions people may have about recycling.
He has presented to middle and high school students about recycling at the Republic Services facilities and has addressed sustainability questions they may have. In addition, he has engaged the community (children/adults) in discussing how their recycling from home works, the benefits of recycling, and how we can get even better!
