World War I was the first full-scale industrialized war. The wholesale carnage that the war produced redefined horror and gave birth to the modern genre as we know it.

Join as we discuss how WW1 veterans dealt with their wartime trauma by producing movies and art that continue to inspire authors, artists and directors to this day, including horror classics like Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and Nosferatu, and dystopias like Metropolis.
