Travel to Iceland with us this winter, without going out into the cold! Doug Schneider will be our tour guide on the history, culture, and tourist features of this fascinating country.

Iceland - It's the oldest democracy in the world, with the world's northernmost capital city.

Natural wonders abound: waterfalls, active volcanoes, hot springs, and the aurora borealis. Plus: puffins and Icelandic horses.

In 2008, a financial crisis halted all construction projects in the country except for one - Iceland spent three years creating a magnificent concert hall in Reykjavik Harbor.

Doug Schneider will cover the history, culture, and tourist features of this island country, and explain why you can get a St Louis burger in every large town in Iceland.

The presenter is Doug Schneider, author, St Louis walking tour guide, Scottish country dancer, fan of architecture, Route 66 enthusiast, who graduated from Brown University, one of the eight Ivy League universities, with a Bachelor's in History; and from the University of London with a Master's in Linguistics.
