Program Description

Event Details

In commemoration of America's 250th anniversary, the St. Charles City-County Library is offering a wide variety of presentations and programs throughout the year, highlighting local, state, and national events, time periods, and cultural moments.

He revolutionized American art and lived just as boldly as he painted. Explore the turbulent life of Jackson Pollock, from his rise in the Abstract Expressionist movement to the personal struggles, affairs, and tragic car accident that cut his life short. We’ll also examine the crucial role his wife, Lee Krasner, played in shaping and protecting his artistic legacy after his death.

After the brief lecture, channel Pollock’s signature style and create your own drip painting on canvas.
