Program Description

Event Details

Fun exploration of topics that keep school-aged kids thinking and learning.

Four species of carnivorous plants: a venus fly trap, sarracenia, sundew, and butterwort.

Welcome to the creepy cool world of carnivorous plants! Did you know that there are plants that trap and eat bugs (and sometimes small animals)?! We will learn about some of these different types of carnivorous plants, do some related activities, and make a Venus flytrap craft. There will also be real live carnivorous plants on display to check out and observe (maybe we'll even feed one a bug or two)!

Recommended for grades K-5. Parents do not need to register!
