Fun exploration of topics that keep school-aged kids thinking and learning.

The words "science" "technology" "engineering" "arts" and "mathematics" are layered in see-through purple text from top to bottom of the square image. The word "STEAM" is set at the center of the image in white, pink, and blue. A grid is laid out beneath the words. Under the grid, there is a spinning circle with white and blue dotted lines at its center. It is animated. Below this is another animated image of colorful, 3D circles and lines that burst behind the word STEAM and then withdraw. Overlaying that animation is another animation of spinning, white dots. Four purple circles are set along the bottom left hand corner. A computer mouse points to the N in the word "engineering."

We will be using the LittleBits Electronics kit to build electric circuits from batteries and wires.

The kit makes this process pretty easy, as there are pre-made circuit boards and wiring set ups.

Children will learn how batteries serve to power electronics and about properties of conduction.

We will be building a fan and then using it to create an art project that kids can take home.

Recommended for grades 3-5.
