Event Details

Please pick up a copy of the book at the hosting branch.

Copies are available starting one month prior to the discussion, while supplies last.

"Let's Read" is a book club for kids! Enjoy snacks! And a fun game with the theme of the book!

You can join by coming to Spencer Road Library and picking up a copy of this book at the Youth Desk. (Copies will be available one month prior to the discussion, and only while supplies last.) Read the book on your own, and then come join us at the hosting branch at this specified day and time for a discussion and activities focusing on the book for this month with other kids! At that time, you'll be able to return your copy of the book. (Have a fun time at Let's Read? You'll be able to sign up for the next month and pick up a copy of that book at the end of the program if you like!)

This month's read: It all started the day Amy Anne Ollinger tried to check out her favorite book in the whole world, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, from the school library. That’s when Mrs. Jones, the librarian, told her the bad news: her favorite book was banned! All because a classmate’s mom thought the book wasn’t appropriate for kids to read.
