Program Description
Event Details
Make It Sew is a monthly group that works on a different sewing project each month. Each meeting starts with a Show & Tell of personal projects.
Today's project is a small scrappy quilt approximately 40" x 48" without borders...it is called "Scraptacular" and was originally a free pattern found on a blog. I'll provide the fabric for you to make a block or two for a group project, and then you are free to work on your own version. This quilt top below is not so scrappy and is a little "matchy", but this pattern is fabulous for a scrappy quilt. Here is picture of my finished 40" x 48" quilt top:
Please cut and bring the following to start a quilt top of your own (or you can make a smaller project):
- 80 squares 4.5" (various prints)
- 160 squares 2.5" (various prints)
- For later - approximately 1 yard for first border (2" border) and binding
- For later - approximately 1 yard for second border (4" border)
- For later - batting and backing to finish
Bring sewing machine and sewing supplies.
We always love to see your finished projects in the Show & Tell portion of our meeting.
