In 1764, St. Louis used pelts as currency; in 2024, St. Louis is using digital currency.

This talk will cover the history of money in St. Louis, including the days when money was printed by railroads and mining companies and the State of Missouri (which printed Confederate currency). And the talk will cover the history of banking in St. Louis, including the bank that was created for the 1904 World's Fair.

We have two money museums in St. Louis, and we live in the only state that has 2 Federal Reserve Banks. As for coins, we will cover trade tokens, wooden currency, and sales tax tokens. And the talk will cover bitcoin, which is being mined here in St. Louis.
