Event Details

A tour of some of the parks in the city of St. Louis (there are over 100). Find out which St. Louis park is in math textbooks because of its shape. Find out what park is named after the US Ambassador to Russia (who was there in 1917 during the Bolshevik Revolution). Here are some questions that Doug Schneider will answer during his armchair tour:

  • What park has a Skinker Skink?
  • What large park is named after William Clark's nephew?
  • What park has bear pits that never had bears in them?
  • In what park can you smell evergreens, flowers, and barley?
  • What park was the location of our first zoo?
  • What park is called a Piazza?
  • Where is the best park to catch buffalo?
  • What pocket park used to be a movie theater?
  • Is the Gateway Mall one single park?
  • What St Louis city park shares a name with a St Louis county park?
