Program Description
Event Details
This science/STEM talk, with author Dr. Patrick Brown, will take a look at how different science/STEM is now taught, as opposed to what many of us remember from our own school experiences.
Enjoy this interactive talk as it engages participants in what we know about learners, how learning has evolved, and how the author's work and writing addresses the advances in modern learning theory. These ideas, that spurred his writing, will be illustrated through videos that have been utilized with students. The videos are based on several model lessons that appear as chapters and main themes in his books.
Be prepared that during this author talk, participants will most likely learn some science as well as some contemporary ideas about how people learn best!
