Event Details

Let's learn how to use those decorative stitches on your sewing machine!  We will be making a set of pot holders that will give you a chance to practice decorative stitches. Then we'll learn to bind the project with a simple quilt binding technique that you will use the rest of your life.

You will need:

  • Your sewing machine and sewing tools
  • 8-10 strips of cotton fabric in various widths and lengths for each potholder. We will have some strips you can include with your fabrics, if needed.
  • One fat quarter of contrasting fabric
  • One 5 inch strip of fabric 40 inches long (or the width of a piece of fabric straight off the bolt
  • Colorful contrasting thread

We will provide quilt batting and buttons.
