Event Details
As Abraham Lincoln took his place in the White House as the 16th President of the United States, the civil war erupted. Journey back to that time in history with story-performer Bobby Norfolk as he brings to life the events that pushed America into a war with itself. Through first-person narratives, poetry, song, and commentary, Bobby highlights the key players, events, and political forces that brought ordinary men and women into extraordinary circumstances. Lincoln, inaugurated just before the war and assassinated at its conclusion, is a central figure in this epic story of America trying to find a unified national identity.
Celebrate Black History Month with Emmy Award-winning storyteller Bobby Norfolk. He believes in keeping stories alive by passing them on to the next generation.
