Event Details

The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) is the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation. The National Park Service maintains it. 

This talk will look at historic properties in the City of St. Louis. We have a wide variety of historic places, from the familiar to the not-so-familiar, including factories, parks, houses, breweries, neighborhoods, banks, churches, and even a Coca-Cola syrup plant. This talk will also look at NRHP highlights throughout the City.

The presenter is Doug Schneider, author, St. Louis walking tour guide, Scottish country dancer, fan of architecture, Route 66 enthusiast, who graduated from Brown University, one of the eight Ivy League universities, with a Bachelor's in History; and from the University of London with a Master's in Linguistics.
