Program Description

Event Details

View our amazing universe through telescopes. Get hands on instruction to use the telescopes that are available for check-out at our branches.

Bring the whole family and join the experts from the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri (ASEM) to be part of this telescope viewing session. We will gather to view the daytime skies through telescopes operated by ASEM members!

Learn about and have a chance to use the Orion StarBlast 4.5" telescope. These are the same type of telescopes available for check-out at our branches.

Telescopes will be available for use during the Star Party, but if there is interest in borrowing a telescope through the Library, click HERE.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This class will be held outside. If the temperature is above 90 degrees, below 40 degrees, or there is other inclement weather, the class will be cancelled. If this class included registration you will receive a cancellation email 60 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin.
