Portugal, where the sidewalks are mosaics, the houses are decorated with tiles, and you are never far from a wonderful pastry shop.  

History: Celts, Romans, Visigoths, Moors, and Christians all left their mark.  The Portuguese are proud of their Golden Age when their ships set out to explore, and even circumnavigate, the world.  

Today, Portugal offers medieval castles, golden beaches, cobblestone villages, great food, fine museums, and idyllic scenery.
