Program Description
Event Details
Make It Sew is a monthly group that works on a different sewing project each month. Each meeting starts with a Show & Tell of personal projects.
In the first class, you learned how to get started on an I SPY quilt. We talked about fabric and supplies and what to expect. In this second class, we will start the actual quilt since you have had a chance to get your fabrics. The quilt will end up approximately 48" x 57" and you could certainly make it larger or smaller. You will learn some quilt basics such as selecting fabric, rotary cutting, sewing accurately, adding borders, and finishing a quilt, etc.
We do have a couple of sewing machines that you could use if yours is not portable.
This project will take three classes.
Class 1 - Getting Started and Purchasing Fabric (March 9)
Class 2 - Cutting and Sewing (March 23)
Class 3 - Finishing the Sewing and Wrapping it Up (April 6)
