Program Description

Event Details

In commemoration of America's 250th anniversary, the St. Charles City-County Library is offering a wide variety of presentations and programs throughout the year, highlighting local, state, and national events, time periods, and cultural moments.

Write Your Life Story a little at a time with this bi-weekly group. At each meeting, you will receive topics on which to write; return in two weeks and share your writing if you desire. Meetings may include special guest speakers or activities to keep the group motivated and enthused.

Writing prompts we passed out today:

#5 CHILDHOOD HANGOUT

Did you have a childhood hangout? Where? Describe it and some of your adventures.

#6 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

What elementary/primary school did you attend? Can you remember anything about your teachers? Friends? Any unusual stories or experiences? How did you get to school? What was your proudest moment as a child? What subjects did you enjoy?

#7 CHILDHOOD PETS

Describe your childhood pets and what they meant to you. What were their names? Tell of your adventures.
